Do you quickly feel emotionally overwhelmed?
When conversations, moods or conflicts tip everything over inside – even though you are actually stable, reflective and capable.
You want to stay calm.
You want to respond clearly.
And yet, suddenly, everything inside gets loud, tight or simply too much.
That is not a personal failure.
It is a sign that your system is overloaded – emotionally.
Does this sound familiar?
Perhaps you experience situations like these:
- You are fundamentally stable – until one conversation or one mood tips everything over
- You pick up on a lot, but struggle to sort it all out
- You want to stay calm, yet inside it gets loud and tight
- You withdraw, because otherwise you explode or lose yourself
- After conversations or conflicts, your thoughts circle for hours
- At night you find it hard to settle, because your mind will not switch off
This does not mean you are too sensitive.
It means you are processing too much emotionally at once.
Why emotional overwhelm happens
Emotional overwhelm usually does not happen because you think too little.
It happens because you are processing too much at the same time:
- your own feelings
- other people’s emotions
- expectations, responsibility and your own inner standards
- old patterns like people-pleasing, a sense of duty or perfectionism
Your body often reacts faster than your mind:
- pressure in your stomach
- tightness in your chest
- inner restlessness
- the urge to withdraw
Your head then tries to take over control.
That makes things explainable in the short term – but not calmer in the long run.
Why withdrawing protects you short-term – but costs you long-term
Withdrawing is not a mistake.
It is an intelligent protective mechanism.
In the short term it gives you:
- distance
- quiet
- control
But in the long term it often leads to:
- emotional distance in relationships
- irritability or inner coldness
- constant rumination and harsh self-criticism
- sleep problems
- the feeling of being emotionally “not right”
The goal is not that you never feel overwhelmed again.
The goal is that you no longer feel at its mercy.
This is exactly where my coaching comes in
CHW-Coaching is not about making you “feel more”. It is about helping you lead what you feel.
We do not work with blame, diagnoses or self-optimisation pressure. We work with clarity, awareness and regulation that fits into everyday life.
What you will actually learn in coaching
Among other things, you will learn:
- to recognise emotions earlier – before they overwhelm you
- to consciously gauge emotional intensity (e.g. with a 0–10 scale)
- to use physical signals as an early-warning system
- simple regulation techniques that work in everyday life
- to stay present in conversations without losing yourself
- to find your way back to inner calm more quickly after stressful situations
Straight talk
You will not be “toughened up”.
You will become more stable inside.
Who this coaching is especially suited for
This coaching is a good fit if you:
- quickly feel overwhelmed in emotional conversations or conflicts
- carry a lot of responsibility and yet often feel exhausted inside
- withdraw, even though what you really want is closeness
- are very self-critical
- finally want to understand your emotional world more clearly
Please note
If you are currently in an acute mental health crisis or in serious distress, therapeutic support may be the better option. Coaching does not replace therapy.

Frequently asked questions
How quickly will I notice a change?
Many clients feel more clarity and calm down more quickly after just a few sessions. Lasting change comes from applying what you learn in everyday life.
Do I need to be good at talking about feelings?
No. Many people start for exactly that reason. The words emerge as part of the process.
Is the coaching very emotional?
It is reflective and goes deep – but it is structured and clear. No drama, no pressure.
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching is aimed at mentally stable people who want to develop further, gain clarity or deal better with emotional challenges.
It does not replace therapy and does not treat mental illness.
If I sense that therapeutic support would serve you better, I will say so openly.
Who is this coaching less suitable for?
This coaching is less suitable if you are currently in an acute mental health crisis or experiencing severe symptoms such as panic attacks, depression or the effects of trauma.
In such cases, therapeutic support is the right first step.
What does the introductory session look like?
The introductory session takes around 15–20 minutes and is completely non-binding.
You briefly describe your situation, I ask targeted questions and give you an honest assessment of whether coaching makes sense for you.
It is not about selling – it is about clarity.
Do I have to commit long-term?
No.
You decide from session to session. Some people work on a specific topic for 3–5 sessions, others over a longer period.
There is no pressure and no obligation.
Does the coaching take place online or in person?
Both are possible.
Coaching can take place online, in person or – if you like – outdoors in nature.
We choose the format that feels right for you.
What if I am not sure whether coaching is right for me?
That is exactly what the introductory session is for.
You do not have to decide or justify anything.
If coaching is not the right fit, I will tell you so openly.
You do not have to solve this alone
If you recognise yourself here, that is no coincidence.
It is a sign that your system needs support – not pressure.
